Firs full legth album from North Carolina doomsters after they broke up in 1994. Those who couldn't enjoy them in that time (like me) have an unbeatable second chance. Unraveled is made up of 8 songs of the best American Doom (they're not in Southern Lord, though), like Pentagram, Saint Vitus, Trouble or even the Swedish Candlemass. Sometimes they remind me of Crowbar (maybe the comparison should be the other way around) due to their dense riffing, and other times they surprise us with weird timing rythms in the style of Meshuggah, in their most dynamic and technical parts. If we add to this wailing and high pitched vocals, obscure lyrics and gloomy melodies, we have an outstanding old school Doom Metal record.
